253 loansharks were arrested

Today, May 18, 2012, 253 Korean loansharks were arrested.
Korean NTS (National Tax Service, it is similar organization to Internal Revenue Service of USA) collected 160,000,000,000 korean won. In U.S currency, it's almost one hundred forty million dollars. They made that money by exploit other peoples, like this. One of them, 22 year's old university student became a prostitute because their threat. She had burrowed only $2,000 for pay her tuition. The other one committed suicide after his house occupied.

There are old Korean jokes, 'If you don't want to die miserably, do not guarantee other's debt, and do not use loan from loan sharks.', 'Do not bear a baby who will be guarantor when he grew up.'
But even now, many people burrows money from them because they need money to pay medical bills, or other reasons. It is one of modern tragedy.
